Gift Ideas for Homeschoolers Collage

Would you like to give gifts that are as fun to play with as the empty box? I’ve created a list of gift ideas for homeschoolers from some of our favorites over the years. We’ve actually owned and enjoyed everything on this list!

Schylling Musical Hand Bells

These were on my wish list for years and I finally bought them last year. My kids were playing Christmas songs in just a few days! Very nice sound.

t3

Wooden Sandwich-Making Set

The sandwich pieces stick together, allowing for some crazy sandwich creations. I get served a different one at least once a week.

t9

Wooden Lacing Beads

These chunky beads are perfect for toddlers. My daughter was too young to string them at first, so I would do it for her and she would toddle around the house pulling them behind her.

t4

Band in a Box

My kids love this set! We’ve had ours for several years and they have almost worn it out.

t16

Hank the Cowdog Book Series

These books about a bumbling farm dog have us laughing until we cry.

t20

Straws & Connectors

My kids use this set to build elaborate playhouses.

t6

Insect Lore Butterfly Garden

It was amazing to be able to watch a caterpillar form a cocoon and then emerge as a butterfly.

t10    t11

Ravensburger Puzzles

These puzzles are very high in quality and beauty. They range from easy (and BIG) preschool puzzles to ones with many pieces. We like the puzzles with holiday scenes.

t7

Chalkboard/Dry Erase Easel

I use our dry erase board often during our group lessons, and it keeps my preschooler busy when I am working one-on-one with another child.

t1

The Settlers of Catan

Can you call yourself a real homeschooler if you don’t own this game? :D Lots of strategy involved, but simple enough that my 8-yr old can play.

t2

In A Pickle

Creative thinking wins this game by ordering your cards according to what fits inside something else- which is of course very subjective. Lots of laughs!

t14

Magnetic Wands

Kids are fascinated with magnets, and I like these wands because there is no worry of a little bitty swallowing one.

t15

Wooden Animal Magnets

These cute animal magnets are large and kept my young preschooler busy while I was cooking dinner.

t8

The Greatest Dot to Dot Book in the World

These aren’t your mama’s dot to dot puzzles!

t12

Dover Bookmarks

These are good-quality stocking stuffers for around $1.50, and can help get you to that free shipping mark.

t13

Dover Little Activity Books

Starting at just $1.35, these are lots of fun for a little price.

What are some of your homeschooler’s favorites?
